Bathtime

One of the greatest things about having a child is that you're forced to take the time to do fun things. Or to at least watch them do fun things. Before I had Parker, I had 1,000 places to be and everything was crazy rushed. I took showers, not baths, and I was probably out the door not 30 minutes after the start of my shower.

Bathtime is one of my son's favorite things. He could play in the bathtub for hours (ok, maybe more like 20 minutes, but that's like hours to a 1 1/2 year old). What's amazing about his baths is the absolute glee he gets from splashing around in the water....and soaking his father...while I stay safely out of range taking pictures.

Yes, bathtime is always fun. You know, Parker inspired me to slow down and take the time to pamper myself. So now, at the end of my 3 minute shower, I crank the water up and allow the scalding water to momentarily numb my tired shoulders for 10 whole seconds (seriously, I count to ten before turning it off). While it may not seem like much, those ten seconds are like heaven on earth.
