So, I try to impart some of my expansive knowledge of the universe to my son on a daily basis. As I contemplate my options, I settle on something that I consider a necessary skill. Winking. Yes, winking. I belive that the wink is an under-used, but very expressive tool of human interaction. So, without further ado, here is how my winking lesson with Parker went.
Cyn: "Hey there baby, watch mommy while she shows you how to wink."

Parker: "Mother, I think you're disturbed."
Cyn: "No, really sweetie, give it a try. Just close one eye while keeping the other one open."

Parker: "Like this?"
Cyn: "You've almost got it honey, just try a little bit harder to get that one eye closed."

Parker: "Mother, I feel foolish. Can we please stop this charade of facial expressions?"
Cyn: "Just one more try sweet pea and I promise to get the camera out of your face."

Parker: "Well, why didn't you say so sooner. Here you go mom."
All I have to say is that my little boy has mad skills...and I'm going to be in hella trouble in about 14 years.
