End Of Semester Craziness

With only two weeks remaining, I'm finally in the home stretch of the first semester. I am counting down the days until holiday break because I feel like I haven't stopped since I set foot on campus back in August. That's the best part of being a professor. You have a flurry of activity and then nice long breaks in between semesters in order to recharge your batteries (and work on research of course).

Yesterday, I took a group of students on a 10-hour road trip to Raleigh, NC, to take a tour of Death Row. This morning, I feel like I got hit by a Mac Truck, but it was definitely worth the effort. I'm eager to hear their impressions in class today. As soon as I get a chance, I'll share all of the fun and gory details. I'll also share some pictures of the outside of the facility. But for now, I'm off to teach class and squeeze out the last little bit of attentiveness from my students who are every bit as eager as I am for this semester to end.

PS - There was frost on the grass this morning! Still no snow, but everything at least looked white.
