I'm been back from Greece for 10 days and in that time, I haven't done a single workout (unless you count my lawn mower escapades). Yes, you read that correctly. Nada. Zilch. Zippo. Sure, I could come up with excuses - there was the rest of a house to unpack immediately upon landing and then a holiday weekend with company and then a 4-day Benadryl coma thanks to the attacking yellow jackets, and a new class to prep and teach...but since excuses are just that, I'm staging a self-intervention.
This weekend, I'm hitting the Life Reset Button. What's that? You've never heard of the Life Reset Button? Well, let me introduce you. It's the reset that most people do just once a year - January 1st. It's when you reevaluate your priorities and take a look at whether you're on track. Unfortunately, most people don't realize that the Life Reset Button is always available. I don't know about you, but I can scarcely make it though a long vacation or a change of semester or extended company without needing to reset my life when things settle back down.
In fact, in my opinion, regular use of the Life Reset Button is the only way to succeed. It's kind of like checking your own personal GPS year-round to make sure that you're still headed in the right direction and that you didn't take a detour at Tequila Lake or Doughnut City.
So this weekend, I'm going to plan a menu, set my alarm, avoid kamikaze insects and get back on track because right now, I feel sloth-like, lazy, and dare I say...soft? No. That will never do.

So what race are we going to do next?? :-)) I'm going to need a reset after this trip - although a jog along the Broadwater is looking very tempting . . . tomorrow.
