I'm embarrassed to admit that yesterday was the first time that I drove on the Parkway since moving to this area 15 months ago. We've passed by the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway no fewer than 100 times, but we always had somewhere to be and opted for the speed of the highway over the beauty of the drive. With my parents visiting this weekend and the leaves calling us with their beauty, I decided that it was finally time to take the plunge and see what all of the fuss was about. Boy, was it worth it! Here are some pictures of our 60 mile drive.
