Parker's School Circus

Last week, Parker's school put on a make believe circus for the students and invited the parents out to watch. The student's were encouraged to dress themselves and marched in a parade playing instruments of their choosing.

Here was Parker's festive attire.

He was taking his role as a performer very seriously. The children pretended to be animals and acrobats (which I don't have any pictures of because I was laughing too hard) and then there were other circus-type activities for them to enjoy, like snow cones...

And face painting.

Parker is really into monsters at the moment and opted for a monster painting that matched his shirt.

The kids all had a great time and it was wonderful for the parents to take a break and come see what they've been up to for the week. I love attending events like these because it reminds me of the best times of elementary school - the pageants and the performances where we all got to show off our hard work.

I can't wait to see what's in store as Parker gets older and more involved. Hopefully, he'll have as many fond memories as I do of childhood and elementary school.
